Price: $8,500obo (Literally impossible to offend me, if you have an offer let me know)
Description:
I bought this for my fiancé in the summer of 2010 with around 50K on the clock. It's been a great car, but she wanted to upgrade so I got her a TSX recently. The car is your typical Type-S equipment, there weren't really any options. Tan leather, PW, PD, sunroof, BOSE, 6 speed, tinted windows. 92,383 miles as of 02/03
Mods:
Rota C-10 wheels with custom Acura center caps
Hankook Ventus V2 Concept 225/50/16 with almost full tread (probably 10,000 miles on them and they're a 50,000 mile tire)
06 RSX type S suspension (struts and springs)
Hondata Gutted Airbox
Wheel Skins steering wheel wrap
Recent work:
New Steering rack $300 (it was lowered until 85,000 miles, the rack was getting noisy, common RSX problem)
Low Mileage starter from an 06 (this is easily a $500 job if you pay someone to do it, under the intake mani.)
Redline MTL in the tranny (No grinds, no pop-outs, female drive it's whole life)
New passenger side ball joint
Newer tie-rod ends (15,000 miles or so on them)
New Brake Master cylinder (It was leaking a little)
The Bad:
Headlights are foggy, I will polish them before it sells and put some sealer on them but it's only about a 6 month fix.
Leather is showing some age (BUT ABSOLUTELY NO RIPS OR TEARS)
BOSE CD changer does not work ($100 on ebay or you probably want an aftermarket deck anyway)
Edit: Got the title today it is free and clear of any brands. The car was wrecked in 2003 when brand new, and it was fixed very well, if there were any problems I would have noticed them in the last 3 years.
Things you should know:
K-Series engines burn oil, it's part of the 8,000+ rpm fun, it's not a bad thing.
To date I've owned 5 K-series, they've all burnt it, even my K20z1 with 5,000 miles on it burnt a little. This one is about a quart per oil change (3-5k), it all depends on how much VTAK! you see every day. Just keep an extra quart in the trunk, check it every now and then when you get gas, it's level ground and you have to wait for it to pump anyway.
This car needs absolutely nothing and is ready to drive for a long time with ZERO maintenance, it has all been done.
