I've finally decided that its time to sell the Civic. It has been a great car, but I have another project in mind and its time to let it go. The car was built sometime in 2006 by Nick Jackson and I bought the car in May 2008. At the time it was one of the best-prepped cars in the country, but as you know the national-level guys have taken it up a notch in the past few year (ie. Motons). The car has still proven to be very competitive with a good driver. Last year on old RE01R's it beat the ex-Hayward Wagner/Dave O'Maley car at the Danville Airport with Eric S. driving.
I've put several new maintenance items on the car since buying it - biggest being a new D16A6 engine. The old 200k mile motor let go and I replaced it with a rebuilt unit. The block was cleaned and honed and every seal and gasket were replaced with new Honda parts. Also has new Honda piston rings and a new clutch. Later I replaced the starter, battery and engine grounds. Since then the car has proven to be extremely reliable and the engine has never burned a drop of oil, even at high RPMs.
I'm asking $5000 OBO. There's no cheaper way to go faster (shifter karts excluded). If you are interested in the car, I can arrange bringing it to an upcoming event (or you can drive down here for an upcoming event) to try it out. Any questions just let me know.
Engine
• New D16A6 with all OEM Honda seals and gaskets Sept 2008. Currently ~7000 miles on engine.
• New (~7000mi) clutch

• ~14lbs battery – no issues with starting car – have a disconnect wired into negative side of battery. Also every fuse except the ones that are necessary to run the car have been pulled
• Underdrive Crank Pulley (not installed)
• No AC or power steering.
• Redshift ECU with 7600RPM rev limit plus extra stock ECU
• Front/Rear ES Mount Inserts

• Progress Rear 24mm Infinitely adjustable sway bar. Not the three holes like the ST – it’s a slot. the slot was lengthed to make the bar stiffer than what comes from Progress.
• GPO3 Red Glastic rear sway bar pillowblock mounts.
• 16x7.5 kosei K1's with new (3 event) Falken RT-615ks
Interior
• Honda factory radio block off plate
• Driver seat - Corbeau Forza on stock sliders – meets 25lb rule but its damn close. Stock seat for Passenger
• Grant ‘D’ shaped steering wheel.
Body
• 207k miles. Car has been repainted – doesn’t match original red color.
• Rolled rear fenders – painted over cracks inside fender lip.
• Driver side rear bumper and front bumper is ugly
• A little bit of Bondo around rear fenders
• Front lip included

• Rear bumper on has half moon circle from where the exhaust shop actually cut part of the metal bumper mount and bumper to run the muffler exit. This is clearly not what should be there, so there is a 2inch cut in the bumper.
