Ok so this year I have again been tasked with planning mda car show. This year we will have Jay hogans new ride (lotus super 7) along with my subaru in the show. Stick with the tradition of Old and new, street car and race car.

So like every other year we will be setting up Friday morning so anyone who would like to lend a hand setting up is welcome to come Friday morning. I have requested to be located right next to VIR. Throughout the weekend we will have passes for people who would like to work the booth. This year we have a autocross in salem within 2 weeks of the show so we are hoping to draw alot of people in.

Things we would like to have is a tv to borrow to show videos, a laptop to run videos off of, (feel free to bring your own if you work the booth to show any videos you have), if anyone has any scca or car swag to give away.

So does anyone have any other ideas? Who would be interested in working the booth?

The car show is March 4th-6th. I can help set up for sure. Will let you know about working the booth.

I'll be glad to help with move in and will work a shift or two if you need help.

Now we just need to convince Jay to go ahead and become a regular member...

Don't think I can help setup Friday, but I'll be glad to work during the weekend. I'd prefer to not work Sunday morning.

I can assist with Friday set up, and can man the booth either Saturday or Sunday. Just give me a heads up as to which you want me at.

What about a handful of "free ride along" tickets. Maybe a drawing of like 10 or so, and then have 3 or 4 drivers at the salem event that run 1st run group, and between 1st and 2nd run group do a couple of the "free ride" runs. that way they aren't getting "practice runs" since their's will all be done before hand.

Steffen - are you guys good to go on this? I have a handful of A/V equipment that could be used by the club if you need it.

What time is setup, etc. on Friday? I can help with setup or booth on Friday .

Do we want to try to print up something with a list of our events to hand out? I'm envisioning business cards w/ the BRR mountain graphic and website link on the front and on the flip side a list of the event dates and locations. I'll work on a sample...

I will be going to the trailer this week to rummage through it as well as order some scca brochurs. If anyone has some goodies they wanna help out feel free to bring them. Setup is at 8 am friday morning. I will be there at 730 but Erik Strock is handling setup after about 845ish since I have to be at work at 9. Anyone who wants to help come to the civic center friday morning around 8. If you want to work the booth we will have passes available and I'll get them to you. My cell number is 540 312 7223.

I can be available for setup or early booth (5-8). Whichever you choose. Let me know.

I quickly drafted some example business cards: Front and Back

These were done via staples.com, but there are certainly other options out there. For color front and grayscale back, here are the price options:

• 250 for $13.99 ($0.06/card)
• 500 for $17.99 ($0.04/card)
• 1000 for $23.99 ($0.02/card)

Rush (3 Business Days) is an additional $13.95 (versus the standard 7 business days for $9.95)

Cards are scheduled to be delivered Thursday. I'm hoping I can get them to Steffen Thursday night or Friday.

Steffen, do you have volunteers lined up to work the booth for certain times? Or is it just a "come when you can" thing? It's looking like I may be busy Saturday, but Sunday would work.

Working is come when you can. Just text or call me for a pass and Instructions. 540 312 7223. Any supplies you have either drop them off at vinton oreillys with my name on them or find another way to get it to me. We have atleast 4 people for setup friday morning. I plan to be at the booth friday and saturday night and Sunday till closing.
