Hello all, it's been a while since I have autocrossed, the Honda has been down for a while. I'm having some issues and was looking for some insight into Honda electrical issues...
I have an 89 Honda Civic SI that5 years ago jumped time and has been sitting ever since. I had another engine rebuilt (stock D16A6) recently and had a friend swap it in. Upon hooking up the battery and turning the key to the ACC position,we get a weird switching sound (I know, great description) as if the main relay is going crazy switching back and forth (no pattern, just randomly) while the engine light blinks in time with the switching. I checked the main relay based on the Honda shop manual and it tested bad so I replaced the main relay and it still does the same thing. I would think that there is a short somewhere (miles of wiring), but was curious if anyone was familiar with the wiring enough to offer a procedure for this era Honda to troubleshoot it.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
