I know that this is short notice. There is a Double MARRS race at Summit Point Labor Day weekend.
Qualifying on Saturday, races on Sunday and Monday. If you have time, come up to the track to
work/crew/watch. Eric and Carl are will be working Flagging and Communications,
so if you are interested in working the race they can help you get started.
I will be racing this weekend, and may have some extra crew passes. If you are interested, let me know
quickly.
As of Monday, there are 283 entrants, with 19 ITB cars (Jeff, are you listening?).

Todd, the car looks great. Good luck up there- 19 cars reminds me of the old days.
Can't join you, getting ready for the SIC next month at Roebling. Bring that ride to the Goblins Go weekend at VIR in October- we'll have the whole Strickland clan there (you too Jeff!)

Yes, Goblins Go the weekend of October 25 is on my schedule, along with the ARRC at Atlanta the weekend of Nov 8. I know that I will be an also-ran at the ARRC, but Atlanta is almost as much fun as VIR.

Ha! If all goes well, I will be at Summit on the weekend of the 25th at the comp school. The car is slowly, but surely coming together. I hope to get a weekend or two on it before the 25th. You can keep up with my progress here: http://www.project-seven.goof.com/itb_civic_build.htmaged racer wrote:Todd, the car looks great. Good luck up there- 19 cars reminds me of the old days.

I need to get Todd's painter...the car looks GREAT!
I plan on being at the ARRC this year, crewing for my former CRX. We hope to move a couple steps up on the podium this year...

Re: Labor Day weekend at Summit Point
Well I kept the car on the black over the weekend. Finished 10th on Sunday and 12th on Monday. The car came back with only cracked paint on the front bumper where I tapped a BMW 2002 during the start of Monday's race. Had a good race with a black VW on Sunday, and was having a good race with a Volvo and a BMW before our race was black flagged due to an emergancy with one of the EV workers. the weekend was fun, and provided great racing.
Glad to hear that the car is getting together, and that you will be at the school this year.

Glad your weekend went well, Todd.
I am leaving the bumpers black on my car for a reason...

Bumpers? Bumpers? We don't need no stinking bumpers!
Todd- glad you had fun- bring it down next month to VIR and you can try out both bumpers (drafting, that is)
