Banquet date

The banquet date is now confirmed as Feb 10 at Corned Beef in downtown Roanoke. Sign-up information will be forthcoming.

To have a banquet and any events in 2007, we need two directors in order to renew our charter. Without a charter, we can't get event sanctions and insurance. I can't file the paperwork unless we have our required officer positions filled.

So, it's time for some others to step forward and help guide the club forward. Who is willing to step up to the challenge?

If you're in a bind, and need someone, I could do it again. However, with my time focused on other things, it may be beneficial for someone else to step in for '07, that can devote the time to attending meetings, providing input, etc. I don't want to risk losing the charter just because we couldn't find a director. Let me know.

Same here. As I work in Charlottesville and live in Crozet making the meetings in Roanoke would be an impossibility. It would definitely be more convenient if meetings were held directly before or after Solo events - or if meetings were held on-line using a chat room or instant messaging.

i'm in the same boat, I would really like to be involved, but going to Roanoke for a meeting isn't really a possibility for me

Dang, that date is the same as the Double Driver's School at RR- Drew is applying for his Novice Permit with that school as our goal.

Which raises another question, do you have to be over 21 to serve as a director ?

Glen, I would be willing to give it a shot, though i would like to know what all is involved in the positions, I live about 5 minutes from CB&C so attending meetings wouldnt be very hard for me. Please give me a call at 540-330-4329. Thanks
