Good deal...I was actually looking for that application. I have to fill out a family application since my wife and I will both be racing.

It may be cheaper to get a spouse membership. I think you'll save $10-15. The family membership is a bargain if you have children that want to participate.

The family membership can be a benefit for younger children if you want to attend non-spectator races. They get a crew license. A lot of the regional races are non-spectator and only SCCA members can get in.

Ok, so I attended the Salem event in April this year, and I have the reciept still from paying, I guess, the weekend membership. I am also 21 years old. What is the best (read cheapest) way for me to join the SCCA this year? And if possible, before this weekend's event.

I was thinking a first gear membership but is this the best?

thanks,
Blake

A First Gear membership will save you an additional $15 over regular. With the weekend credit, it's only $30. I don't see much of a downside since you get all the benefits.
