Heavy Duty Car trailer FS

Post by aged racer »

Selling the open car trailer I bought a couple of years ago.

Steel construction with tandem axles and 14” tires. Total deck length including beavertail is sixteen feet, width six feet six inches.

Electric brakes, wood ramps, storage box, spare tire, etc.

It’s titled as a 1987 build, with a 5,000 lb capacity. We’ve hauled everything from a Spec Miata to a VW Camper van. Tows very nice down the interstate.

It’s currently stored behind my house in Marion, can deliver to the Roanoke area no sweat.

I paid $1500 for it and will sell it for that. Will have the state inspection updated this week.

Once you have one it's hard to do without. I found a deal on a newer aluminum trailer, wife says I can't have both.

It can be yours!

Interesting, but I'm pretty sure the C5's doors won't clear those fenders...

We cut the fenders to fit the miata doors.

The left fender on my trailer is removable but the Miata door still wouldn't clear the tires. Some people put pads on the deck to get the car up an extra inch of so to let the doors clear.

It's 8.75" from the top of the deck to the top of the trailer, if that helps.

Most trailers have that issue in one form or another. Usually the door will open enough to wiggle out (although I had to go through the window on my previous trailer (now Glen's) when I was hauling the ITS RX7.
