Black Flared 91 Miata on Craigslist

In case any one is interested in that car I went and checked it out today.

He relisted it for 1k as a whole or $500 for the engine (supposedly a natrually aspirated rebuild with 250 miles on it) trans for $300 and the shell for $400

Exterior paint looks good no orange peal owner claims it was done about 2 years ago, door jams were done properly but there's so much over spray on seals and what not, the car was originally red and when you see the areas that weren't painted they stand out Its a case of "best worst paintjob". Fender flares are bolted on, and the work could be cleaner, the rear quarters have been "properly" cut and welded back together for clearance It's missing interior bits, there was originally a bolt in cage in the car so the rear area around the gas tank was cut into. Bonuses if you buy the whole kit, include a new soft top and a second head (not all that enticing).

What was in the engine bay... Engine, Transmission, Cross member with Steering rack (no ps lines) clutch/brake master/slave its non abs.
What was there looked like it had been done properly but its missing so much that its worth more in pieces than it is as a whole.

I ran a car fax on it and the title is branded "exceeds mechanical limits/not actual mileage" No reports of any accidents on it(if you want a copy of the cfax pm me with an email addy so I can forward it to you) Owner claims 146k on it I failed to check the cluster, carfax states 206k was the last check for a safety inspection.

Branded title sealed me from wanting to touch it as this would have been a DD chassis so. to any one interested just a heads up.
