97 Miata M Edition

Post by mrtwo »

1997 Mazda Miata "M" Edition

Rare "M" Edition (<3000 made)
Dark green with tan top and tan leather interior
100K miles, A/C, Cruise, P/S, PW, AM/FM/CD, Leather, Torsen limited slip, ABS (rare on Miatas), removable hard top (also rare on Miatas)

In the last 16K miles since I have owned the car, the following has been done:
- custom 15 x 6.5 Fox sport alloy wheels and new tires (<2,000 miles on tires)
- stainless steel cat back exhaust (nice sound, but not loud)
- oil changes of Mobil 1 every 2-3,000 miles
- synthetic fluid change to transmission, plus new tower and boot seals
- synthetic fluid in rear axle
- new coolant and replace heater hoses
- new battery
- added a factory luggage rack
- new windshield (rock chip in old one)
- custom cloth seat covers (original leather a little worn - put covers on the
seats mainly for comfort in summer weather).
- new Mazda clutch, resurfaced flywheel, new clutch master & slave cylinders
- new FR/RR brake rotors and pads, rear calipers and flushed brakes
- KYB AGX adjustable shocks and new boots
- new performance front sway bar and links

The Miata runs great and looks very good. Paint is very good, but is probably the original and there are the usual door and bumper dings. The top could use replacement in the next 1-2 years. The removable hard top is great for colder weather and long trips.

If interested, I also have the original 15 x 6 Miata alloy wheels with Kumho MX tires mounted on them (with approx 14K miles on the tires). I will include with the car or sell separately.

In addition I also have a set of 15 x 6 alloys from a 2000 Miata that have Kumho 710 type R tires mounted on them (approx ½ tread left). I will include with the car or sell separately.

At this point I'm not interested in parting out the extra wheels/tires or the hard top.

$7,250 for everything. PM me if you're interested or call me at 540-563-8001

Photos will be available soon.

Good luck with the sale Tim. Any idea what you might drive next season?

Here's a few pics of Tim's car in action from the last event:

This is definitely one of the fastest, and best PAXing cars in our region. Hope it finds a good home. :)

Let me know if you end up wanting to sell the 15's with the MX's seperately...
