BRR-SeDiv @ Danville Aug 16-17, 2008 should it be considered a 2 day BRR points Solo Event?

Why not just 1 day ,Sat or Sun, ? Thats what Triad is doing, we were going to allow regular members to purchase the weekend membership and run Sunday only.

That's what I've seen other regions do too. Each day counts as a points event, so if you can make both, great, but if you can only make one day, you can still get points for that one day.

It appears that the wishes of the BRR-SCCA is to count the Aug 16-17 Sediv as BRR points event #8 and #9.

If you're planning to run both days - book your hotel NOW. This is the same weekend as a big event at VIR. I got a room at the Innkeeper Danvile-West. The next closest hotel was in Yanceyville (11 miles away) or in Reidville (15 miles away).

InnKeeper has approx 92 rooms as of 2pm today.Super 8, Marriott Suites, The Stratford Inn and the 2nd Innkeeper also have 10-20 rooms left. I spent 4 hours on the phone searching and these were the only rooms available .Next is Yanceville, then Reidsville (30 minutes away).
There was the Executive Inn and a few others that had plenty available but were not in the " nicest" location or condition.
